Electric Root: Let Love Lead
Electric Root brings Let Love Lead to UC Merced Arts for an uplifting concert experience rooted in communal love, Black musical tradition, and shared spirit. Led by acclaimed vocalists Brianna Thomas, C. Anthony Bryant, and Charenee Wade, the performance features beloved songs by artists including Nina Simone, Aretha Franklin, Donny Hathaway, and more, transforming the stage into a space of warmth, welcome, reflection, and belonging.
Following the national success of Electric Root's The Sound of (Black) Music — named to The New York Times' Best of Theater 2021 — Let Love Lead premiered at The Metropolitan Museum of Art's MetLiveArts series in 2025.
